The fuller tale

House Buckwell holds the Antlers, a seat in the wooded hills of the Crownlands north of the kingswood, close enough to King's Landing that its lords are regular figures at court. Their words, Pride and Purpose, and their antlered sigil suit a house of the hunt.

Being near the throne is a mixed blessing for a middling house: it means influence when the wind is fair and danger when it turns, and the Buckwells have spent generations reading the court's weather and trimming their sails to whichever king or queen holds the Red Keep that season.
