The fuller tale

The Langwards are numbered among the minor houses of the Crownlands, sworn as so many are directly to whoever holds the Iron Throne. Their doings have not been thought worth the maesters' ink, but they endure among the small banners of the king's own lands, a name carried by lesser lords through the long turning of dynasties.
