House Manning stands among the many small houses of the Crownlands that hold their lands from the crown. The chronicles say little of them, but they belong to the ordinary weave of the realm's nobility ÔÇö a house of modest means and modest fame whose service, like that of its neighbours, is owed straight to the king who sits the Iron Throne.
