The Pyles are a small house of the Crownlands, counted among the lesser lords and knights who owe their service directly to the Iron Throne. Theirs is not a name that fills the histories, but it takes its place among the quiet banners of the king's own country, whose lords have watched more kings crowned and uncrowned than the songs remember.
