The fuller tale

Ashemark holds the western hills for House Marbrand under a banner of a burning tree ÔÇö a house of solid rank and better reputation, whose heir Addam rides as one of Tywin LannisterÔÇÖs ablest and most decent officers, the rare westerman both armies speak well of. The seat itself pays the westÔÇÖs price for the northern campaign: taken and stripped when RobbÔÇÖs outriders come over the hills, one of the raids that proved the lionsÔÇÖ own country could burn. The Marbrands rebuild, as hill houses do, and their tree burns on the banner only.
