Blackmont
A western Dornish seat above the Torentine.
The fuller tale
Blackmont rises above the Torentine in Dorne's far west, where the river runs young and cold out of the Red Mountains, and House Blackmont flies a vulture over it ÔÇö marcher heraldry of the unapologetic school, remembering centuries of raid and counter-raid against the Reach and the stormlands in which the Blackmonts were seldom the raided. Theirs is old First Man blood turned thoroughly Dornish, holders of one of the western passes and neighbors to the Vulture Kings' old country, whose outlaw flocks they alternately fought and, their enemies claimed, fed. The tale finds the house where Dornish houses are found ÔÇö a lady of Blackmont in the prince's councils, spears ready in the pass ÔÇö waiting, like all Dorne, for the word from Sunspear that patience is over.
The fallen of this place ÔÇö if any, they are named here. Spoilers.
No death the chronicle records has come to this ground ÔÇö or none the maesters have set down.
