The fuller tale

Crakehall breeds them big. The brindled boar flies over one of the westÔÇÖs strongest seats, and the family runs to size and appetite in equal measure ÔÇö Strongboar, the houseÔÇÖs celebrated knight, is the kind of man who finds wars the way other men find taverns. The castleÔÇÖs footnote in the greater tale is formative: Jaime Lannister squired at Crakehall, won his spurs from its wars, and was still half a boy of its training yard when a white cloak and a mad king finished his education. The boars of Crakehall fight in every Lannister host of the story, loudly, and mostly survive ÔÇö the westÔÇÖs best argument that subtlety is optional.
