Lannisport
A walled port city in the shadow of the Rock, home of the Lannister fleet.
The fuller tale
Lannisport spreads at the foot of Casterly Rock like a purse spilled from the vault above ÔÇö the largest city of the west, walled and prosperous, home to the Lannister fleet and to enough cadet-branch Lannisters of Lannisport that gold hair is practically the civic uniform. It is the realmÔÇÖs third city and knows it, content to bank what Oldtown and KingÔÇÖs Landing fight over.
Its scar is the Greyjoy Rebellion: EuronÔÇÖs night raid burned the anchored Lannister fleet in its own harbor, the opening insult of BalonÔÇÖs war and a debt the lions repaid at Pyke with interest. The story keeps Lannisport mostly as backdrop ÔÇö tourneys, trade and the westward horizon ÔÇö but the burned fleet lingers in every ironborn calculation: the krakensÔÇÖ proof that the lions can be touched, once, at night, when no one is watching.
The fallen of this place ÔÇö if any, they are named here. Spoilers.
No death the chronicle records has come to this ground ÔÇö or none the maesters have set down.
