Sun House
A sunny coastal seat on the Reach's southern shore.
The fuller tale
Sun House takes the Reach's southern shore full in the face ÔÇö a bright seat above warm water where House Cuy has held the coast between Oldtown's hinterland and the Summer Sea since the old kings' days. The name is the climate and the climate is the estate: early harvests, long sailing seasons, and a port-side prosperity that never quite amounts to power, which suits the Cuys, whose ambitions have historically extended to good marriages and better weather. Their knights turn up in the Reach's hosts wherever the Hightowers point them, and the books lose one in the usual place, the Blackwater, where the south's flower went to be pruned. Sun House grieves in sunlight and carries on; the coast permits no other style.
The fallen of this place ÔÇö if any, they are named here. Spoilers.
No death the chronicle records has come to this ground ÔÇö or none the maesters have set down.
