Tolos
A slaver city on the Gulf of Grief, famed for its slingers.
The fuller tale
Tolos sits on the Gulf of Grief northwest of the bay proper, a modest slaving city with one immodest export: the slingers of Tolos are reckoned the finest in the world, whipping lead bullets farther and harder than most bows shoot, and free companies pay well for them. Perched between ValyriaÔÇÖs haunted hinterland and SlaverÔÇÖs BayÔÇÖs wars, the city has made neutrality a craft ÔÇö in the books it is among the powers DaenerysÔÇÖs envoys court in the great diplomatic scramble around Meereen, polite to the dragon queen and to her enemies alike. Tolos survives the way small cities near large ruins learn to: by being useful to everyone and worth conquering to no one.
The fallen of this place ÔÇö if any, they are named here. Spoilers.
No death the chronicle records has come to this ground ÔÇö or none the maesters have set down.
