A square towered keep named for the King Who Knelt.

The fuller tale

Torrhen’s Square is a tidy castle of square towers south-west of Winterfell, seat of the Tallharts and named for the King Who Knelt — the last King in the North, who chose bent knee over burned host when the dragons came. There is a quiet irony in a fortress commemorating the North’s most famous surrender, and the war sharpens it: the ironborn strike the Square as a feint, Winterfell’s garrison gallantly rides out to relieve it, and Theon walks into the emptied castle behind them. Torrhen’s Square is the trick that costs the Starks their home — a lesson old Torrhen, who understood exactly when a fight is the wrong answer, might grimly have appreciated.
