Wickendon
A quiet seat on Crackclaw Point, south of the Vale's mountains.
The fuller tale
Wickendon is the Waxleys' quiet seat below the Vale's mountains, on the unfashionable coast where Crackclaw Point's hills run down to the water ÔÇö a fief of beekeepers, chandlers and salt-farmers whose very house name smells faintly of the trade. The candles of Wickendon light septs a long way from home, which is as close to fame as the place has pursued; its lords have the good sense of small houses on contested borders, swearing up toward the Eyrie or down toward the capital as the century requires and keeping the wax flowing either way. The tale never visits. Wickendon would regard that as the system working.
The fallen of this place ÔÇö if any, they are named here. Spoilers.
No death the chronicle records has come to this ground ÔÇö or none the maesters have set down.
