A cold, forested island in the Shivering Sea whose people hunt whales and keep entirely to themselves.

The fuller tale

The Ibbenese are broad, hairy, short-legged and famously strong, speak a tongue related to nothing, and have hunted the whale in the Shivering Sea since before anyone was writing things down. Their island is thickly forested, their city is called Port Ibben, and their ships smell so strongly of whale oil that they are identifiable at a distance in fog.

They have no empire, no interest in one, and no part in any of the wars in this chronicle. They appear here because they are on the map, which is more than can be said for several kingdoms that thought themselves very important.
