Qarth’s merchants, who never tire of reminding visitors theirs is the greatest city that ever was or will be, have considerably more pressing trade concerns along the Jade Gates than a succession war among a lesser house of dragonlords on the far side of the world — the Dance is, from behind Qarth’s triple walls, simply not a story anyone there is telling.
