The fuller tale

Fair Isle’s Farmans hold their sea-girt seat through the Dance as an outpost of Lannister loyalty — declared, like the rest of the westerlands, for the greens — and spend the war’s length watching the same ironborn raiders that harry the mainland shore, Faircastle’s isolation making it both a lookout post and a tempting, half-undefended target.
