Hardhome
Ruined haven of the free folk
The only thing like a town the free folk ever raised, on the sheltered bay of Storrold's Point — emptied six hundred years ago in a night of fire no one can explain, and shunned ever since.
The fuller tale
Whatever burned Hardhome six centuries before the Dance has nothing to do with the fire that consumes Westeros in 129 AC — the ruined haven on Storrold’s Point was already a place the free folk avoided long before Rhaenyra and Aegon began feeding each other’s dragons to the war. It sits empty and shunned through the entire Targaryen civil war, a much older warning that nobody south of the Wall is listening for.
The fallen of this place — if any, they are named here. Spoilers.
No death the chronicle records has come to this ground — or none the maesters have set down.
