The fuller tale

The Lhazareen’s mud-walled village, raided periodically by Dothraki khalasars for slaves rather than politics, has no connection whatsoever to the Dance of the Dragons — its own dangers run to horse-lords, not dragon-lords.

In the first season

Drogo's khalasar sacks the lamb men for the ships Viserys was promised. Daenerys claims the godswife Mirri Maz Duur — a healer with her own accounting.
