The FiddlerÔÇÖs reveal is The Mystery KnightÔÇÖs whole reason for existing, and the show has not yet adapted that novella, so there is no screen performance yet to weigh against the page. Any future casting will face an unusual burden: the character has to be charming enough on first appearance that his true purpose comes as a genuine surprise, while also giving attentive viewers enough to notice, in hindsight, exactly the way the novellaÔÇÖs own prose does on a second read.
