The line of Quentyn Ball — Fireball, master-at-arms of the Red Keep, who shattered the king's van at Redgrass Field for the black dragon and died of a common archer. His son inherited the fury and none of the fortune.
The fuller tale
Quentyn Ball, known to the realm as Fireball, served as master-at-arms of the Red Keep itself — the crown's own instructor in swordplay — and still rode for the black dragon when Redgrass Field came, a defection close enough to the throne room to sting in a way most of Daemon Blackfyre's other supporters never quite managed. He shattered the king's van on that field before a common archer's arrow ended him, an anticlimactic death for a man whose sword arm had, until that afternoon, seemed close to legendary.
His son inherited the fury without any of the fortune that might have softened it. Ser Glendon Ball, known as the Knight of the Pussywillows for the poverty of his heraldry, rides the same hedge-knight roads as Dunk himself, carrying a famous father's name and none of a famous father's holdings.
At Whitewalls that inheritance becomes something more dangerous than poverty: whispered, and by some accounts claimed outright, to be Daemon Blackfyre's own bastard son rather than Fireball's trueborn one, Glendon becomes one more unresolved question of blood in a gathering already full of them — exactly the kind of rumor a conspiracy like Lord Peake's finds useful and a young hedge knight finds ruinous.

House Ball and the rumor surrounding Glendon belong entirely to The Mystery Knight, which remains unadapted; nothing of Fireball's death at Redgrass Field or his son's disputed parentage has appeared on screen.
