Crakehall takes its boar for a sigil seriously enough that the house is known, even at some distance, for a hunting culture as fierce as its heraldry — an heir raised here is expected to prove his nerve against tusks and not merely against a tourney lance. That martial bent serves the family well at court: Ser Roland Crakehall wears the white cloak of the Kingsguard at Ashford Meadow, one more instance of a westerlands house turning its rough country pastimes into royal service.
