Nightsong
The marcher seat of the Carons, lords of the nightingales, where the Boneway climbs into the mountains.
The fuller tale
Nightsong belongs to House Caron, self-styled lords of the nightingales, whose seat sits where the Boneway begins its climb into the mountains toward Dorne ÔÇö one more marcher castle built by generations who took the old border war with the Dornish seriously long before any king in KingÔÇÖs Landing did. The CaronsÔÇÖ fondness for their nightingale conceit sits oddly against the grim practical work their ancestors actually did holding this stretch of frontier, though by Dunk and EggÔÇÖs era, with Daeron IIÔÇÖs Dornish peace some decades settled, the name has had time to soften from battle-boast into simple heraldry.
The fallen of this place ÔÇö if any, they are named here. Spoilers.
No death the chronicle records has come to this ground ÔÇö or none the maesters have set down.
