Raventree Hall
Seat of the old-gods-keeping Blackwoods ÔÇö kin to Bloodraven, whose mother was a Blackwood, and forever feuding with the Brackens across the river.
The fuller tale
Raventree Hall belongs to House Blackwood, keepers of the old gods in a riverlands otherwise gone over to the Faith of the Seven generations ago, their godswoodÔÇÖs black-barked weirwoods as much a statement of stubborn identity as of religion. The house carries a closer tie to the eraÔÇÖs great events than its remote godswood might suggest ÔÇö Brynden Rivers, Bloodraven himself, is Blackwood on his motherÔÇÖs side, a bloodline the Blackwoods mention with considerably more pride now that their kinsman runs the Iron ThroneÔÇÖs intelligence network than they might have when he was simply one of the old kingÔÇÖs many bastards. Their ancient feud with the Brackens across the river burns on regardless, old gods against new grievances, largely undisturbed by whichever Targaryen currently sits the throne.
