Vaith is a river seat amid Dorne’s red sands, a minor holding of House Vaith notable in these tales mainly as a destination rather than a setting — the place Dunk and Egg mean to travel toward when the road their creator actually finished writing runs out. It stands, appropriately for a place the story never quite reaches, as a small monument to the tales GRRM left unwritten: real on the map, waiting on the page.
