The fuller tale

Yronwood styles itself the Bloodroyal and holds, by most reckonings, the proudest seat in Dorne after Sunspear itself — wardens of the Boneway, and rivals to House Martell for the crown of Dorne back in the centuries before the Martells finally secured it for good. That old rivalry has cooled into mere prickliness by Daeron II’s reign, but Yronwood lords still take visible pleasure in reminding visitors that Martell primacy in Dorne was a historical outcome, not a natural law.
