AryaÔÇÖs private ritual pays out again, more strategically this time. She, Jaqen, Rorge and Biter engineer the fall of Harrenhal from the inside ÔÇö poisoning the watch with a bowl of doctored soup and opening the gates for Roose BoltonÔÇÖs approaching northern army. The castle, infamous and supposedly impregnable, changes hands without a real battle, undone by a kitchen girl nobody thought to watch closely.

ItÔÇÖs the clearest demonstration yet of what Arya has learned to do with almost no power at all ÔÇö not swordplay, but access, patience and a willingness to use both ruthlessly. Harrenhal falling to Bolton rather than being stormed also reshapes the riverlandsÔÇÖ war map considerably, handing the NorthÔÇÖs forces one of WesterosÔÇÖs most storied and cursed castles at the cost of a poisoned pot of soup.
