House Dalt

The Knights of Lemonwood, a respected Dornish house of the green coast near Sunspear whose lord is close in the counsels of the prince.

The fuller tale

Lemonwood lies on the coast a short ride from Sunspear itself, its groves scenting the sea air, and its lords — styled Knights of Lemonwood rather than the grander titles some houses claim — sit close to the ear of the ruling prince. Ser Deziel Dalt, the Lemonknight, is remembered in Dornish song.

Proximity to Sunspear makes the Dalts both trusted and watched: near enough to be useful, near enough to be dangerous, which in Dornish politics amounts to the same careful courtesy the Martells extend to all their stronger bannermen.
