Season One
In the Stepstones the war goes badly: Craghas Crabfeeder bleeds the Velaryon host from his caves while the Triarchy holds the tides. Daemon rows to the Crabfeeder's line under a peace banner, feigns surrender, and butchers a path until Craghas is cut in half beneath Caraxes.

Their story
Known across the narrow sea as the Crabfeeder, Craghas Drahar is a Myrish prince-admiral of the Triarchy who spends years taxing shipping through the Stepstones and staking debtors and rivals alike below the tideline for the crabs to finish — a reign of terror conducted with theatrical cruelty and real strategic patience.
His grip on the Stepstones eventually draws the crown's attention in the person of Daemon Targaryen, who takes up the fight against the Triarchy's pirates with an enthusiasm that reads as half genuine service to the realm and half personal insult at having been passed over for anything more prestigious to do.
How it ends for them
On the screen. Cut in half by Dark Sister (S1·E3)
The Crabfeeder held the Stepstones three bloody years, staking sailors below the tide line for the crabs. Daemon rowed to his line under a white flag, feigned surrender, and cut his way to the man himself — Craghas came apart under Dark Sister on his own beach, and the war ended with him.

The Myrish prince-admiral fed the narrow sea's sailors to the crabs until Daemon and the Sea Snake made war on him without the crown's leave. Gyldayn records his end in 106 AC: Dark Sister, single combat, and a body left for his own crabs.
In the show, Daemon rows to the Crabfeeder's line under a white flag of parley, feigns surrender, and cuts his way through to Craghas directly — the admiral comes apart under Dark Sister on his own beach, and the Stepstones war effectively ends with him.
Fire & Blood records the same death in 106 AC as single combat between Daemon and Craghas, Dark Sister finding him after years of the Crabfeeder's own crabs finally getting a body of considerably higher rank than his usual victims.

Both tellings agree closely on the manner of Craghas's death, differing chiefly in staging — the show gives Daemon a feigned-surrender ambush under a white flag, while Fire & Blood presents the killing in more conventional single-combat terms.
