Season One
In the Stepstones the war goes badly: Craghas Crabfeeder bleeds the Velaryon host from his caves while the Triarchy holds the tides. Daemon rows to the Crabfeeder's line under a peace banner, feigns surrender, and butchers a path until Craghas is cut in half beneath Caraxes.

How it ends for them
On the screen. Cut in half by Dark Sister (S1┬ÀE3)
The Crabfeeder held the Stepstones three bloody years, staking sailors below the tide line for the crabs. Daemon rowed to his line under a white flag, feigned surrender, and cut his way to the man himself ÔÇö Craghas came apart under Dark Sister on his own beach, and the war ended with him.

The Myrish prince-admiral fed the narrow sea's sailors to the crabs until Daemon and the Sea Snake made war on him without the crown's leave. Gyldayn records his end in 106 AC: Dark Sister, single combat, and a body left for his own crabs.
In the show, Daemon rows to the Crabfeeder's line under a white flag of parley, feigns surrender, and cuts his way through to Craghas directly ÔÇö the admiral comes apart under Dark Sister on his own beach, and the Stepstones war effectively ends with him.
Fire & Blood records the same death in 106 AC as single combat between Daemon and Craghas, Dark Sister finding him after years of the Crabfeeder's own crabs finally getting a body of considerably higher rank than his usual victims.
